About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At around midnight, a deep voice crackled over the barbershop’s intercom: ‘Hey, Japs, you better get your style on or else!’ The regulars laughed it off, but soon noticed something odd—every night at exactly the same time, the same mysterious message would repeat itself. One day, an enthusiastic new customer walked in and declared, 'I’ll show you my style!' He adjusted his imaginary hat and said confidently into thin air, 'Hey, Japs, you better get your style on or else!' Everyone burst out laughing, realizing that maybe the messages were just the neighborhood's way of welcoming new faces with a little friendly teasing.
2. At dawn, when most shops were still closed, a delivery driver pulled up to Its Valid Barber Studio. The sign read ‘Closed,’ but he noticed an unusual reflection in the window—an old man with a shimmering silver comb. The delivery driver peered closer and saw that the old man was humming softly as he polished a pair of antique scissors. Curious, the driver knocked on the door. Inside, the barbershop smelled like fresh-cut grass and warm cookies. The old man turned around, smiled, and said, 'Just finishing up my morning routine.' He offered the driver a freshly brewed cup of tea and a seat for a complimentary haircut. By noon, half the neighborhood had joined them for a free hair styling session.
3. At closing time, when the last customer had left, the shop dog began to bark furiously at an empty chair in the corner. The owner, puzzled, approached the chair and found nothing but a stray sock from the previous day. The dog, however, insisted on barking until a delivery driver walked in, sat down, and promptly kicked off his shoe, revealing the missing sock. Everyone laughed, including the dog, who finally calmed down.
4. At lunchtime, when customers were scarce and the radio silent, a sign on the wall started winking in morse code: 'Need a trim? Visit us after dark!' One night, an old man walked in and asked for a special cut. The barber raised an eyebrow but agreed. Afterwards, the customer left with a new hairstyle—and a secret smile. Turns out, it was the neighborhood librarian who’d been practicing his pirate impression during storytime! Needless to say, business picked up after dark.
