About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Learner & Rowe’s office and exclaimed, ‘I just saw a ghost!’ The receptionist smiled and replied, ‘That’s not unusual around here.’ The delivery driver scratched his head, puzzled. Just then, an old man in a tweed suit walked past the window, muttering something about needing to find his spectacles. The receptionist giggled and said, 'Ah, that's Mr. Jenkins from next door—he's been searching for them everywhere.' Everyone laughed, realizing that sometimes Gilbert's ghost stories are just good ol' neighbors.
2. A small boy walked into the office one afternoon, trailing his mother behind him. As he approached the reception desk, he stopped abruptly, pointing at something on the wall. ‘Mom,’ he whispered, ‘why does that sign say “We’ll fight for you”?’ His mom leaned down and smiled gently. 'Honey,' she whispered back, 'that’s because these nice people help us when we’re in trouble.' The little boy nodded thoughtfully then turned around, picked up a pen from the counter, and wrote carefully on the sign: "And we’ll draw for you too!" Everyone laughed as they left, leaving behind a slightly doodled-up poster.
3. One day, an old man entered the office and asked the receptionist, 'Excuse me, do you know where I can find justice?' The receptionist smiled warmly and replied, ‘Sir, if you’re looking for justice, try asking Learner & Rowe over there.’ She pointed towards a small dog named Max, who was snoozing under a desk. The old man chuckled, scratched Max’s head, and said, ‘Well, that sounds like good advice—maybe I’ll just take my chances with him!’
4. At dawn, when most offices were still dark, a squirrel scurried across Learner & Rowe's parking lot, carrying something unusual in its paws. Curious about what could be so important, an early morning jogger stopped to watch. Turned out, the squirrel was delivering breakfast—an egg from a nearby farm—to his friend, a sleepy-looking crow perched on the fence. Both animals exchanged knowing nods before trotting off together, leaving the jogger with a smile and a newfound appreciation for Gilbert’s quirky residents.
