About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a little girl walked into Truist with her mother. As they approached the teller window, she pointed excitedly and whispered, ‘Mommy, look! The cash drawer has eyes!’ The teller smiled warmly and replied, 'Oh honey, those aren’t eyes—those are security cameras watching over our money!' The little girl nodded seriously, then turned back to her mom and asked, 'So why do banks have so many spies?'
2. One day, a delivery driver pulled up to Truist and noticed something odd on the sign: ‘Today’s Special – Smile Biggest!’ He smiled, thinking it was a joke, but as he entered, the automated voice announced, ‘Welcome, customer. Today’s special: a smile so big it reaches your ears.’ As he walked in, everyone around him seemed to be smiling wider than usual. Confused, our delivery driver approached a teller who just happened to have the biggest grin ever seen. She greeted him with, 'Welcome to Truist! Your daily special is a smile that makes you feel like singing!' The driver left with a huge grin, whistling happily all the way back to work.
3. Late one night, a security guard patrolling Truist heard an eerie humming sound coming from inside the vault. Curious, he approached cautiously and saw nothing but shadows. Suddenly, an old envelope fell from above, landing right in front of him with a soft thud. Turning it over, he found only the words ‘Free Donuts Tomorrow’ scribbled on it. The next morning, everyone in the neighborhood gathered for free pastries, and Truist’s security guard became something of a local hero.
4. Early one morning, as Truist’s doors were just opening, a neighbor rushed in, breathless. ‘Did you see that?’ she whispered. ‘What?’ asked the teller, tilting her head curiously. The neighbor pointed outside: a lone seagull perched on the bank's sign, its beak stuck fast.' The teller squinted, and sure enough—there it was, frozen in place like a living logo. A few minutes later, a delivery driver arrived with a box of fresh bread. 'Look!' he exclaimed, pointing up. 'Seems our feathered friend has found himself a new breakfast.' Everyone laughed, and soon the bird was gently dislodged—and became Truist’s unofficial mascot for life.
