About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In the early morning fog of downtown Chicago, a delivery driver pulled up to The Caine Law Firm. As he stepped out of his truck, he noticed an oddly familiar shadow moving inside the building's empty hallway. Curious, he followed the shadow into an empty conference room where a regular was practicing his stand-up routine. ‘I’m gonna sue myself for bad jokes,’ he said, pointing at the delivery driver’s face. They both burst out laughing as dawn broke over the city.
2. In the dimly lit hallway of The Caine Law Firm, a small dog paused mid-bark, its tail wagging uncertainly as if sniffing out invisible clues. A secretary, startled from her desk, watched curiously as the canine approached the closed door of Mr. Caine's office. Suddenly, the door opened with a creak, revealing Mr. Caine in his usual suit and tie, but with a puzzled expression on his face. He bent down to scratch the dog behind the ear, muttering, 'I don't remember hiring a new receptionist.' The dog wagged happily, clearly thinking it had found its perfect job.
3. In the late afternoon sunshine, an old man adjusted his glasses and shuffled into the lobby of The Caine Law Firm. He glanced around suspiciously before reaching into his briefcase. From his briefcase, he withdrew a small thermos and a sandwich wrapped in brown paper. With a satisfied grunt, he settled into one of the uncomfortable chairs, muttering something about ‘overpriced coffee’ under his breath. An hour later, nobody dared disturb him as he dozed peacefully, drool gently dripping onto his client file.
4. At precisely 3 PM every weekday, a deep voice boomed over The Caine Law Firm’s intercom: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that your legal troubles are about to escalate.’ One day, an excited delivery driver announced: ‘Your package has arrived!’ Suddenly, the intercom blasted: ‘Sir, your package is now under litigation for breach of contract.’ Everyone burst out laughing as the voice added: “Have a nice day!” — and then everything went back to normal.
