About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as a regular was leaving The Barbers after his weekly trim, he heard someone mutter, ‘You’ll never believe what I saw here last night.’ Curious, our regular asked who witnessed it. ‘Just some delivery driver,’ replied the barber with a smile. ‘He thought he’d seen a ghost in the mirror—turns out it was just his reflection doing an awful comb-over!’
2. A few weeks ago, an old man walked into The Barbers and asked the owner, ‘Do you ever wonder why your customers always leave with such a smile on their faces?’ The barber shrugged. ‘Well, they look good after I cut their hair!’ The old man smiled mysteriously. ‘That’s not it,’ he said softly. A regular customer, who had been listening intently, leaned forward and whispered, ‘They pay him in cookies.’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the barber, who shook his head and grinned.
3. A young delivery driver pulled up to The Barbers one afternoon, fumbling with a package. Just then, the door swung open, and out stepped an elderly gentleman wearing nothing but a wide grin. ‘What the—?’ stammered the confused driver. The old man nodded towards the barber chair, where a regular was mid-shave. ‘He’s waiting for you,’ grinned the newcomer. Turns out, it was just another day at The Barbers—a place where everyone gets their hair cut, even if they’re not supposed to.’
4. One day, while getting a haircut at The Barbers, a little boy kept giggling at something behind the barber’s chair. When the barber turned around, there was nothing but an empty wall. Turns out, the boy had been laughing at his reflection in the mirror above the sink. The barber just happened to be tall enough that he couldn’t see it himself. Everyone had a good laugh after that.
