About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was an ordinary morning in Albertsons, but something strange had started happening around closing time. A regular customer noticed that every night, right before the store closed, a mysterious cart would appear out of nowhere and start moving down the aisles. One evening, as the last items were being scanned, an old neighbor walked in with his dog. The dog sniffed curiously at the mysteriously moving cart, then sat down and began chewing on a banana from one of the boxes. Just then, the cashier called out: ‘Hey, your pooch just stole a banana!’ Everyone burst into laughter—even the cart stopped moving. It turned out to be a prank by a delivery driver who wanted to see people’s reactions.
2. It was just another day at Albertsons when a delivery driver noticed something peculiar. As he unloaded crates of bananas, a faint humming sound filled the aisles, growing louder with each box. Curious, the driver followed the noise until he found a crate half-opened—inside, dozens of bananas were dancing in perfect syncopation! It turned out they were specially imported from Brazil for a local festival. The store manager smiled, saying, ‘Must be their way of greeting Albertsons.’
3. It was just another day at Albertsons when a delivery driver noticed something peculiar. As he unloaded boxes of cereal, he swore he heard a faint whisper coming from one of the aisles: ‘Buy me…’ Curious, the driver followed the voice down an empty aisle and found a box of his favorite granola, half-hidden behind a display. He smiled, thinking it must be his imagination playing tricks. But as he picked up the box, he heard the whisper again—this time more clearly: 'Finally!' Turning around, he saw no one but a smiling neighbor pushing her shopping cart, shaking her head and muttering, 'Oh, Albertsons, always finding ways to make you buy stuff.'
4. It was early dawn at Albertsons, when a delivery driver heard soft whispers coming from the dairy aisle. Curious, he peered around the corner and saw nothing but empty shelves. Yet, the voices grew louder with each passing minute. Finally, an old lady in the next aisle cleared her throat and said, ‘Excuse me, dearie, are you lost? I thought I heard someone whispering.’ The delivery driver turned red and mumbled something about checking stock levels. From then on, whenever anyone asked why there were no dairy products one night, they’d just smile and say, “Albertsons had a little chat with itself.”
