A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as a regular was leaving Daniel M. Murphy’s office building, he noticed something odd on the elevator screen: ‘Lucky 13th Floor Now Open.’ Curious, he stepped inside and pressed the new button, only to find himself in an empty hallway with no thirteenth floor anywhere to be seen. As he stood there puzzled, a delivery driver approached him, holding a package. ‘Hey,’ said the driver, ‘you’re lucky you found this place—Mr. Murphy needs someone to sign for this urgent document!’ They both laughed, realizing it was just another one of those quirky Murphy twists.
2. A little girl walked into Daniel M. Murphy, P.C., asking her mother, ‘Mommy, why do all these grown-ups look so serious here?’ ‘Because,’ whispered a regular, ‘they’re trying to decide whether you get to keep your house or not.’ The little girl giggled and ran outside, leaving behind a room full of people who suddenly looked less serious than before.
3. A delivery driver pulled up to Daniel M. Murphy, P.C. one afternoon and asked the receptionist, 'Excuse me, where do I sign if I'm suing myself?' The receptionist smiled and replied, ‘You don’t sue yourself here, sir. You’d have to go down the street to Mr. Johnson’s office.’ The delivery driver nodded, got out his pen, and said, ‘Oh, thanks a lot! That explains why my last two lawsuits never went anywhere…’
4. One day, a delivery driver pulled up to Daniel M. Murphy, P.C. with a package. As he approached the door, he heard someone shout from inside: 'Hey, wait! Do you know where to find justice in this town?' The delivery guy looked around nervously and whispered back, ‘I’m not sure, but I hear they serve some pretty good coffee here!’ With that, he opened the door, and a friendly voice called out, ‘Welcome! Can I help you find your way to our courtroom of caffeine?’
