About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular was printing out labels when suddenly, every printer in The UPS Store started spitting out identical messages: ‘Your package has been delivered by unicorn.’ Employees and customers burst into laughter, but no packages were actually delivered that way. Then a delivery driver walked in, confused because his truck had just been visited by a herd of sparkly creatures. After calming everyone down, it turned out the whole thing was due to an overzealous intern who’d accidentally programmed the printers with a prank message. Since then, whenever someone mentions unicorns around there, people just smile and nod knowingly.
2. One morning, while a regular was dropping off packages, he noticed an odd humming sound coming from inside The UPS Store. Everyone else seemed oblivious, but the noise grew louder and more insistent until it finally stopped—only to be replaced by the smell of freshly baked cookies. Curious, our regular peeked around the counter—and found a tiny elf in a red cap, busily decorating cookies with multicolored sprinkles. ‘Oh no,’ said the elf, “I’m supposed to deliver these to Mrs. Johnson next door!” As everyone burst out laughing, the elf scurried away, leaving behind a note: “Sorry for the inconvenience—will return your packages soon!”
3. One day, while a regular was picking up packages, someone asked: ‘Does anyone else hear that strange voice coming from inside?’ Another customer, overhearing the question, leaned in curiously and replied, 'Hell yeah, I hear it too—it sounds like an old man counting money!' Everyone burst out laughing, realizing they were all just imagining an amusing urban legend. The regular shook his head and said, 'Guess I'll never know if it's real or not.'
4. While a regular was carefully packing boxes for their move, they heard a strange clicking sound coming from one of the cubicles. Curious, they peered around the partition and saw an old delivery driver meticulously tap-tapping away on his keyboard. Turned out he was just updating packages while humming along to some tune only he knew. The regular chuckled, shook their head, and went back to packing—never again underestimating the multitasking abilities of a postal worker.
