About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for his haircut, an old man noticed something peculiar. A little boy kept staring at the shop’s old sign, giggling and pointing at it every few minutes. Finally, curious about what could be so funny, the old man asked the boy, ‘What’s so amusing about our sign?’ The boy looked up with a big smile and whispered, ‘It says “Barber & Beauty Shop”, but it looks like it’s missing some letters!’ The barbers couldn’t stop laughing that day.’
2. One day, as a regular was getting his usual trim, he overheard the barber whispering to another customer: ‘You know, I’ve been cutting hair here since before that old tree outside even had leaves.’ The regular leaned in curiously, but just then the barber noticed him and quickly changed the subject. Later that week, when the same customer picked up his package from the delivery driver who always parked under that very tree, they both looked up simultaneously—only to see no leaves at all.
3. While picking up his monthly supply of shampoo, a delivery driver noticed an unusual package in the shop’s loading bay. Curious, he opened it to find… Inside was a small box wrapped in brown paper. The driver shook his head, thinking maybe it was some strange gift from a regular customer. He took out a pair of scissors and carefully cut through the wrapping. To his surprise, there was nothing but a single red rose and a note that read: ‘For the best barber in town—keep smiling!’
4. At dawn, when most shops were still shuttered, a delivery driver pulled up outside Frank’s Barber & Beauty Shop. The early-morning quiet was broken only by the hum of the shop’s ancient sign.} The driver knocked on the door, but no one answered. Curious, he peered inside and saw an old man with scissors in hand, cutting air as if it were hair. ‘Morning,’ said the man without turning around. ‘Same old style for you today.’ The delivery driver burst out laughing, realizing he’d walked into Frank’s own personal fantasy. ‘Next time I’ll bring my own comb,’ he muttered, leaving Frank to his imaginary clients.
