About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver asked angrily, ‘Why did you close my account overnight?’ No one knew why the U.S. Bank had mysteriously frozen accounts of several customers without notice. Finally, after much confusion and a few frustrated calls, it turned out that the bank’s computer had mistakenly identified these people as high-risk customers based on their names sounding similar to known fraudsters. So, when the delivery driver mentioned his name was ‘John Doe,’ they thought he might be related to some notorious cybercriminals named Doe! Everyone got a good laugh over coffee later that day.
2. Early one autumn morning, a delivery driver rushed into the bank, breathless and exasperated. ‘I just can’t believe it!’ he shouted. ‘My coffee mug is empty again—right when I needed it most.’ ‘Oh no,’ said the bank manager, smiling wryly. ‘It seems our esteemed delivery guy has developed quite the habit.’ Just then, an old lady from next door walked in with a full thermos. ‘Here you go, dear,’ she said cheerfully. ‘I always bring extra for the nice man who never says “thank you”.’
3. A delivery driver stormed in, fuming. ‘How could you lock me out of my own account?!’ ‘I’ve been trying to log in for half an hour!’ he ranted. The teller smiled and said calmly, ‘Sir, your account is locked because someone tried to hack it.’ He paused, then sheepishly added, ‘It was me… again.’
4. A delivery driver stopped by the bank one afternoon, puzzled. 'I thought I made my deposit last week,' he said. 'But where is it?' The teller smiled and shook her head. ‘You see, sir,’ she explained gently, ‘your deposit was so small that our automated system decided it must be a test.’ A delivery driver’s laugh filled the room as he realized his mistake. ‘Guess I’ll have to try harder next time!’
