About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while an early riser was brewing coffee in their kitchen, they caught a strange sound coming from across the street. It was the estate planning law firm of Daily, Montfort & Toups, and it seemed like someone inside was humming an old folk song under their breath. The tune grew louder with each passing day, becoming almost impossible to ignore. Finally, one evening, a regular noticed that the humming had stopped altogether. Curious, he knocked on the door of the law firm. An astonished lawyer opened up and said, 'We've been practicing our new theme song for the annual estate planning convention!' And so, the whole neighborhood joined in, creating the catchiest will-and-testament jingle ever heard.
2. One day, a regular stopped by after work and noticed something peculiar on the reception desk—a stack of old, unopened envelopes addressed to no one in particular. Curious, he picked up one envelope and read aloud: ‘Dear Mr./Mrs., congratulations on your upcoming estate planning session…’ The curious man opened several more envelopes, each containing identical messages. Finally, an employee walked over and whispered, 'Oh, those are just our templates for new clients—we forgot to recycle them again.' The regular laughed heartily and left, thinking, 'At least they’re honest about their recycling habits!'
3. One afternoon, a delivery driver pulled up outside the law firm's office building. Curious pedestrians asked him, ‘Is that place always so quiet?’ The delivery driver smiled and replied, 'Not really. They’re just waiting for their client, Count Dracula, who’s got an appointment tomorrow morning.' A few curious onlookers laughed nervously, while others quickly moved along. Turns out, it was just another slow day in the old neighborhood.
4. One day, as a delivery driver approached the law firm’s entrance, he heard a voice from inside: ‘We’ll see you in court… next Tuesday!’ Startled, he looked around but saw no one. Was it just an echo? Or had someone been talking to him? Curious, the delivery guy peeked through the glass door and noticed an old parrot perched on top of a filing cabinet, squawking away into its tiny phone. 'Next Tuesday,' the bird chirped again, before bursting out laughing—obviously not realizing who it was addressing.
