About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for his package, a regular noticed something odd. The UPS driver kept stopping in front of an old brownstone across the street and staring up at the second floor. Finally curious, our regular approached the driver, who sheepishly admitted he was just checking if his neighbor had moved out yet again. Turned out their packages always got mixed up due to similar addresses.
2. At dawn, when most people were still dreaming, a delivery driver pulled up to The UPS Store with an unusual package. As he approached the counter, a regular overheard him whispering into his walkie-talkie: ‘This one’s special—don’t drop it.’ Curious, the regular leaned closer and saw that the package was wrapped in old newspapers and taped so tightly it looked like a time capsule. Smiling, he asked what it contained. The driver shrugged and whispered back, ‘Who knows? Maybe tomorrow’s lottery ticket.’ And as they both laughed, their neighbor walked in, muttering something about how late-night deliveries always seemed so mysterious.
3. At dusk, as a little girl waited for her dad inside The UPS Store, she pointed excitedly at the ceiling. ‘Daddy,’ she whispered, ‘why is that box moving?’ Her father smiled and leaned closer, whispering back, ‘Honey, it’s just our friendly neighborhood pigeon, trying to make a home in our ceiling.’ They both giggled, lost in their own private world until an amused voice called out from behind the counter: “Ma’am? Your package is here!”
4. In the dead of night, a delivery driver pulled up to The UPS Store with an unusual package. As he unlocked the door, a soft humming sound filled the air. Curious, he opened it to find only a small note reading ‘Try pressing the red button.’ He did so, and suddenly, every printer in the store started printing out copies of a local bakery’s best-selling cookies recipe. Turns out, it was just a prank from a neighbor who wanted everyone to bake more often.
