About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a little boy walking home from school noticed something odd outside Chase Bank. His dog started barking furiously at a shadowy figure reflected in one of the glass doors. The man inside turned around, smiled mysteriously, and waved back—only visible to the child. The boy ran inside to tell his mom, who just happened to be standing right next to the same door. She looked, saw nothing but her own reflection, and laughed gently, saying, ‘Oh honey, that’s just your imagination playing tricks on you.’ And so ends another tale of urban fantasy… or maybe it was just a mischievous gust of wind waving goodbye.
2. One day, while waiting in line at Chase, an elderly gentleman turned to the teller and asked, 'Excuse me, but why does it always take so long for my money to leave here?' The teller smiled gently and replied, ‘Oh sir, your money leaves as soon as you deposit it. It’s just that everyone else wants their money out faster than they put theirs in.’ The old man nodded thoughtfully, then said with a twinkle in his eye, ‘I see what you mean—maybe I should start banking earlier in the week!’
3. A delivery driver pulled up to Chase one afternoon with a package so large it looked like he could barely lift it. As he approached the counter, the teller asked him if he needed help. With a straight face, the driver replied, 'No, ma’am, I’ve delivered bigger ones than this.' Finally, the teller took pity and said, ‘Sir, can you just show me what’s inside?’ The driver opened the box, revealing nothing but an oversized teddy bear. He grinned sheepishly and explained, ‘It was for my daughter’s birthday.’ Everyone laughed, including the teller who thought, ‘Next time, maybe he should deliver smaller bears!’
4. While standing in line at Chase, a regular muttered under his breath, ‘I wonder if they have a special rate for talking to myself?’ Finally, an elderly gentleman behind him chimed in, ‘Actually, sonny, I heard they give you extra minutes for singing national anthems!’ Everyone burst out laughing, and the tension of waiting melted away.
