About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver rushed into Jacoby & Meyers’ office with a worried look on his face. ‘I just saw something strange,’ he said, panting. ‘What’s that?’ asked an intrigued receptionist. ‘Well, I drove past your sign and it seemed like someone was watering the lawns… with money!’ ‘That’s impossible!’ exclaimed one of the lawyers. But as they walked outside, they saw it themselves—a garden hose spraying dollar bills across the lawn! Turned out, their friendly neighborhood gardener had been paid in cash for years and decided to celebrate by watering the grass with his earnings. Everyone got a good laugh—and maybe even some extra cash from picking up stray bills.’
2. In the quiet town of Orange, after hours, strange sounds would occasionally echo from inside Jacoby & Meyers' office. Late one night, a young boy walking home heard an odd thumping noise coming from behind the building. Curious, he crept closer and saw something peculiar: a plastic giraffe, wobbling and slowly making its way down the hallway. As the boy watched in amazement, the giraffe reached the end of the hall and turned around, heading back towards the office. Startled, the boy ran home and told his parents. The next day, everyone in town was talking about it—until a delivery driver mentioned that it must’ve been their new sign, accidentally left there overnight. And so, ever since then, whenever someone mentions Jacoby & Meyers’ firm, people smile and say, ‘Oh, you mean the law office with the wandering giraffe!’
3. At dawn, when most people were still dreaming, an old man began appearing outside Jacoby & Meyers' office. He’d quietly sit on the bench, then suddenly jump up and start waving frantically, as if something important had happened. Finally, someone asked him why he was so anxious. The old man replied, ‘I just saw a package fall off a truck!’ Turned out it was only a delivery driver’s lunchbox. Everyone laughed, and from that day on, whenever anyone needed legal advice, they’d see the old man casually reading his newspaper on the same bench.
4. In the dimly lit hallway of Jacoby & Meyers' office, a delivery driver paused mid-step and whispered, 'I thought I saw someone slip here last night.' Just then, an old lady in a wheelchair rolled around the corner with her shopping cart, smiling warmly and saying, ‘No worries, sonny! It’s just my arthritis acting up.’ The delivery driver shook his head with a smile and muttered, ‘Guess I’ll never know if it was real or not!’
