1. One morning, as a regular was leaving Leeds Building Society, he noticed something odd: a small bird kept flying in circles around the building's clock tower. Curious, he watched as the bird seemed to follow an invisible path, swooping and diving with perfect precision. Suddenly, the bird stopped mid-air and gave a little chirp, then flew off into the distance. The man scratched his head, puzzled but amused. As he turned to leave, another customer asked, ‘Did you see that? Was it trying to tell us something?’ They both laughed, realizing that sometimes even birds know things banks never will.’
2. Late one night, an exhausted delivery driver pulled up outside Leeds Building Society. As he stepped out of his truck, he swore he heard faint laughter coming from inside the empty building. Curious, he peered through the window and saw a shadowy figure stuffing envelopes into a drawer. ‘What are you doing here?’ asked the driver. The figure turned around—it was just their neighbour, sorting out some paperwork for fun. ‘I thought this place was closed,’ said the driver, laughing. ‘Only on paper!’ replied the neighbor with a wink.
