About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A little boy walked into the Easton Post Office one morning, clutching an envelope with trembling hands. The postal clerk looked up curiously as the child approached the counter. ‘Is this for a special delivery?’ asked the clerk, raising an eyebrow. The boy nodded solemnly and whispered, ‘It’s for my grandma who lives in the moon.’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the boy himself. From then on, whenever someone mentioned the moon, people would smile and say, “Ah, must be another letter from that curious kid at the Easton Post Office.”
2. At dawn, when most postal workers were just stretching their legs, a delivery driver noticed something peculiar: every morning, a neighbor’s cat would appear on the steps of the Easton Post Office, waiting for its owner's mail. The driver grew curious and started leaving out some milk near the steps. Soon enough, the cat became such a fixture that other mail carriers joined in, creating an unofficial ‘mailbox milking’ tradition. To this day, if you visit Easton Post Office early in the morning, you might see not only the cat but also a small crowd of postal workers, sipping coffee and watching the feline lapping up its morning treat.
3. At midnight, when the moon lit up the empty streets, a delivery driver noticed something strange in the mail slot of the Easton Post Office. Curious, he peered inside and saw an envelope with his own name on it. Inside was a note from ‘a concerned citizen’ warning him that his mailbox was stuck open. The next morning, everyone had a good laugh when they found out it was just the wind playing tricks.
4. At closing time, when the last stamp had been sold and the door clicked shut, a mailman whispered to himself, ‘I think I saw something move in that corner.’ So he stayed an extra minute, peering into every shadow. Then, from behind him came a familiar voice: 'Hey, Pete! Did you lock up?' It was just his neighbor, dropping off some mail. They both laughed, and as they locked the door, Pete muttered, 'Guess I’m getting too old for this job.'
