About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for her turn in Amelia Salon, little Sarah noticed something peculiar: every time she closed her eyes during the hairdryer’s hum, it sounded exactly like ocean waves. Her mother thought it was just her imagination until other customers started nodding along. Soon enough, everyone in line was swaying gently with their eyes shut, imagining themselves on a tropical beach. Even the grumpy old man next to Sarah started tapping his foot and smiling. When it finally became too much for the stylist, she turned off the dryer—and everyone opened their eyes to see an amused Amelia holding a bucket of water labeled ‘Pacific Ocean Rental’.
2. While getting her weekly trim at Amelia Salon, Mrs. Johnson chatted with the stylist about her garden. Suddenly, she noticed an unfamiliar scent wafting from behind the closed door of one of the private rooms. Curious, Mrs. Johnson tiptoed towards the room and peeked inside. Inside, a delivery driver was trying on every hat in the salon’s display case, humming along to his headphones. ‘I’m thinking,’ he said, holding up a feather boa, ‘which one would suit my new client best?’
3. While getting her usual highlights done at Amelia Salon, a regular named Betty overheard the stylist whispering to another client: ‘This new shipment of henna is so intense, it could dye your whole neighborhood red!’ Betty rushed home and peeked through her curtains just in time to see her next-door neighbor watering his roses while wearing an enormous red hat. Turns out, he’d accidentally dyed his hair too! Everyone had a good laugh when they met up later that day—except maybe poor Amelia, who was left explaining the situation to the entire block.
4. While getting her monthly haircut at Amelia Salon, a delivery driver absentmindedly left a mysterious package on the counter. The stylist picked it up curiously and announced over the intercom: ‘Ladies, we have here an unusual package. It’s addressed to someone called “Future Client,” but I’m not sure who that is.’ So everyone gathered around to take a look—there was nothing but a small envelope inside with just one card inside reading: 'Congratulations! Your haircut appointment is scheduled for next Tuesday.' Turns out, Amelia had accidentally booked herself for her own salon visit! Everyone had a good laugh, and from then on, whenever anyone mentioned Amelia Salon, they’d say, 'Oh yeah, that place where time got a little confused!'
