About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for his coffee, a regular noticed something peculiar: every time he looked up from his newspaper, a young boy in a nearby office would glance nervously out of the window towards Richard Schwartz & Associates' entranceway. Finally curious, our regular approached the boy and asked what he was watching so intently. Turns out, the kid was just waiting for his dad—a delivery driver who worked late nights at Richard Schwartz & Associates. The regular laughed, realizing that maybe the law firm wasn’t as mysterious as it seemed.
2. On an unusually foggy morning, as lawyers were settling in for their daily grind, someone noticed that the old clock on the wall seemed to be running backwards. As everyone stared, puzzled and amused, a delivery driver walked in, glanced at the clock, shrugged, and said, 'Must be one of those newfangled time machines they keep talking about.' The lawyers went back to work, muttering about how strange it was—and whether they should bill extra hours for dealing with such anomalies.
3. In the early hours of one Friday morning, a delivery driver pulled up outside Richard Schwartz & Associates. As he unloaded boxes from his truck, his young daughter, sitting in the passenger seat, pointed excitedly out the window. ‘Daddy,’ she whispered, ‘is that a ghost?’ The father looked puzzled but followed her gaze and saw nothing unusual. Just as he was about to dismiss it, an old man with a top hat stepped out from behind the building and waved cheerfully. 'Good morning!' he said brightly. The delivery driver blinked, then laughed and shook his head. 'Guess your kid's seeing things today,' he called back to the office. End of story—except maybe for the old gentleman who occasionally waves hello whenever someone delivers packages.
4. In the middle of the night, a mysterious voice crackled over the office intercom: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that today’s rain will not affect our schedule.’ Everyone looked at each other, confused, until they realized it was just another late-night prank from someone in the building. Finally, around dawn, Richard himself emerged from his office, yawning and rubbing his eyes. 'What the heck?' he muttered. Then he saw everyone staring at him blankly. With a smile, he said, “I must’ve dozed off. Sorry for any confusion.” And with that, he went back inside, leaving behind a room full of people trying to decide if they should believe their own ears or not.
