The next day, the sound returned, accompanied by the faint scent of freshly brewed coffee. Curious, Mr. Bailey decided to investigate further. Following the smell, he found himself in an empty room filled with old briefcases and dusty files. Suddenly, a gruff voice said, 'Coffee's on me!' Turning around, he saw a kindly-looking janitor who explained, 'I brew it every morning before I leave.' And thus began their daily ritual—Mr. Bailey getting caffeinated advice from his mysterious anonymous friend.
3. One afternoon, while P. Howard Bailey, Jr. was reviewing documents in his office, an unusual package arrived via interoffice mail. Curious, he opened it to discover a small, handwritten note and a jar filled with mysterious powder. Confused, he sniffed some of the powder—nothing happened. Then, from across the room, his secretary called out, ‘Mr. Bailey, your lunch is here!’ Turning around, he saw a grinning delivery driver holding a sandwich. ‘Oh,’ Mr. Bailey exclaimed, rubbing his nose, ‘I thought that was something else.’ The whole office burst into laughter.
4. A little girl walked into P. Howard Bailey, Jr.'s office one day and asked her mom, ‘Why is that man talking to himself?’ Her mother whispered, ‘He’s not talking to himself—he’s just arguing with his clients.’ Suddenly, an old lady entered the office and said, 'Mr. Bailey, I heard you were arguing with myself!' Everyone burst out laughing, including Mr. Bailey who replied, 'Ma'am, we're lawyers—we argue with everyone!'
