About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One foggy morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Stern & Goldberg’s front door with a mysterious package. As he approached the entrance, he noticed an oddly familiar shadow moving inside—was it just his imagination, or did that silhouette wave back? Finally, the delivery driver entered the office and found no one but Stern, who casually replied, ‘Ah, you must be here for our new intern—Goldberg.’ The driver looked around confused, then Stern added, ‘He’ll show up eventually.’
2. One night, as Stern & Goldberg’s neon sign flickered ominously, a neighbor passing by swore he heard an odd humming noise coming from inside the building. No one else seemed to notice. Suddenly, the door opened slightly and a voice called out: ‘Hey, is that you, Mr. Delivery Driver?’ A confused courier peered in and saw only two old lawyers arguing over whose turn it was to get lunch. The neighbor smiled and walked away, shaking his head, thinking, ‘Next time I’ll bring my own sandwich.’
3. Late one afternoon, while Stern & Goldberg’s receptionist was making coffee, she swore she heard someone whispering her name from behind the filing cabinets. Curious, she turned around—and found only empty shelves. But then, out of nowhere, a voice whispered, ‘Coffee’s ready!’ It was just an old delivery driver joking with her. She laughed it off and went back to work, shaking her head at how easily she’d been spooked.
4. One day, an anxious client rushed into Stern & Goldberg’s lobby, only to stop abruptly and point towards the ceiling. On the intercom, in big bold letters, someone had written: ‘LITIGATION IS NOT A SPORTING EVENT’. A delivery driver looked up curiously and shrugged, thinking it was some prank. Then he heard a voice over the intercom: 'IF YOU CAN READ THIS, WE’RE OUT OF PAPER!'
