About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular walked into Chase one morning and asked the teller, ‘Do you ever get tired of seeing the same faces every day?’ The teller replied, ‘Not really—except for that guy who always asks if he can pay with monopoly money.’ Then a delivery driver came in, clearly flustered. He whispered to the teller, ‘Can I pay with a hundred-dollar bill… or is it two fifties?’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the usually stoic teller.
2. A delivery driver pulled up to Chase’s drive-through window one afternoon. ‘Excuse me,’ he said, ‘I’ve been here before, but today I’m not sure which side of the counter I belong on.’ The teller smiled and replied, 'Sir, you're always on the right side!' The delivery driver nodded with a laugh, realizing it was just another day in the life of Chase.
3. A neighbor approached Chase's front door late one night, muttering under his breath, 'Finally found it!' The neighbor opened the heavy oak door with a rusty key and stepped inside, only to realize he was in the wrong building—Chase’s lobby looked exactly like every other bank’s. Muttering apologies, he walked up to the counter and asked the startled teller, ‘Excuse me, where can I withdraw some cash?’ The teller smiled politely and replied, ‘Sir, you’re in the right place for an account inquiry, but for cash, perhaps you should try the ATM outside.’
4. One rainy afternoon, an umbrella appeared out of nowhere in the middle of Chase's lobby. No one claimed it, but every time someone approached it, the automated voice announced: 'Please take your umbrella.' Finally, a delivery driver picked up the umbrella and left. A week later, he returned with several more, saying they were from ‘the grateful bank.’ The Chase lobby now looks like a miniature weather station.
