About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver asked Darcey, ‘Why do you always wave at that old lady across the street?’ Darcey smiled and replied, 'Because she waves back!' The delivery driver scratched his head in confusion, but soon burst out laughing when he saw an elderly woman waving cheerfully from her window. 'Now I get it,' he said with a smile. 'She’s just keeping your day bright.'
2. One day, as customers were getting their hair styled, an announcement came over the salon’s intercom: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that our new vacuum cleaner has a tendency to imitate famous hairstyles while cleaning.’ Soon enough, everyone in the salon burst into laughter when the vacuum started recreating the latest celebrity do's. A delivery driver even stopped by to admire the 'new' hairstyle on his package box. The owner, Darcey, just smiled and said, 'Welcome to Styles by Darcey & Co., where every cut is unique—even if it’s made by a vacuum!'
3. One afternoon, while Darcey was cutting hair, she noticed a neighbor watering his garden in front of her shop. Every time he bent down, his umbrella would mysteriously unfold and open again upright. Nobody else seemed to notice but everyone kept smiling. Soon enough, another customer—a delivery driver—walked in with a big smile on his face. As soon as he sat down, his jacket buttons started buttoning themselves up! Everyone burst out laughing, even Darcey herself. The neighbor finished watering his garden, straightened up, and his umbrella finally stayed closed. They all agreed it must be some kind of magical place effect.
4. One afternoon, while Darcey was cutting hair, her little dog started barking uncontrollably at someone outside. Curious, Darcey looked up and saw nothing unusual—just another customer leaving the salon. But when she glanced back at her dog, he continued barking at empty air near the window. Darcey shrugged it off, but later that day, as she was finishing a client’s style, her dog suddenly growled menacingly at an empty chair. Confused, Darcey turned around—and there sat a regular, innocently waiting for his trim. ‘Sorry,’ she laughed, ushering him in. Turns out, her dog just had a thing for bald heads!’
