The driver nodded without a word, then reached into his pocket and handed over a small bag of cookies. ‘Thanks for fixing my truck again,’ he muttered, climbing out. His dog, usually quiet around strangers, started barking furiously at nothing. Curious, he turned his head and saw an old man waving from behind the garage door. ‘Hey,’ called the stranger, ‘you forgot your toolbox!’ The delivery driver laughed, realizing it was just Mr. Strange, the eccentric owner who always left tools scattered everywhere. ‘Thanks, neighbor,’ he said, scratching his puzzled dog behind the ear.
