About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Regions Bank and exclaimed, ‘I’ve never seen so many people staring at their phones!’ Inside, everyone was indeed glued to their screens—except for one old lady who kept checking her watch. Finally, someone asked the old lady what time it was. She smiled and replied, ‘It’s exactly 9:15, dear.’ The crowd looked down at their watches in surprise—they’d been so focused on their phones that they hadn’t noticed the big clock above the door had stopped at 9:15 years ago.
2. One afternoon, as a teller was counting cash, she heard an odd humming sound coming from inside the vault. Curious, she peered through the glass door—and saw nothing but rows of silent safes. The humming continued for several minutes before abruptly stopping. Suddenly, one of the safes opened slightly, and out popped a tiny, confused hamster. ‘What am I doing here?’ it asked in a little squeaky voice. The teller laughed, picked up the hamster, and returned it to its owner—a friendly delivery driver who’d accidentally left his pet behind. Since then, everyone jokes that Regions Bank has the best security—even for small furry customers.’
3. One day, while waiting for his turn in line, a regular noticed something peculiar on the wall of Regions Bank. Upon closer inspection, he saw a small drawing of a smiling cat with a fez hat, scribbled in pencil next to the ATM instructions. Curious, he asked the teller about it. 'Oh,' she said casually, 'that's just our resident bank mascot, Mr. Paws.' The regular laughed and shook his head, thinking to himself that maybe this place was as quirky—and charming—as its customers.
4. One morning, before anyone else arrived, a voice crackled over the intercom: 'Ladies and gentlemen, your bank is now open… but please note that our vault has been filled with nothing but jelly beans today.' Soon enough, customers started arriving, curious and amused. A delivery driver asked if he could still cash his check, and a regular quipped, ‘I’ll take out just enough for breakfast!’ The teller smiled and said, ‘We’re out of checks today—just jelly beans!’ Everyone laughed, and soon the day turned into an unexpected celebration of sweetness and good humor.
