1. In the early morning fog, when most FedEx offices are quiet and empty, a regular would arrive with an old canvas bag slung over his shoulder. He’d greet the night shift workers with a friendly wave, then disappear into the back room for hours on end. Finally, one day he emerged with a huge smile, holding a package addressed simply to ‘The Night Shift’. No one knew who was behind it, but everyone enjoyed the mystery. Eventually, a delivery driver joked that maybe FedEx had a secret sister company specializing in oddball gifts.
