About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A little boy walked into Quadros, Migl & Kilmer one afternoon, clearly agitated. ‘Dad,’ he whispered, pointing towards an empty office, ‘there’s a ghost sitting there!’ His father chuckled but looked over and saw… nothing. For weeks after that, whenever someone mentioned that office, they’d shiver and say, ‘Did you hear? It’s haunted.’ Finally, a delivery driver asked curiously, ‘Hey, does anyone know what’s really in that office?’ Everyone shrugged. Then an old partner said with a twinkle in his eye, ‘Just our resident paper-shuffler ghost—who hasn’t worked here since 1987.’ The whole firm burst out laughing.
2. A delivery driver pulled up to Quadros, Migl & Kilmer late one morning and called out: ‘Hey, anyone here seen a parrot? I just delivered it!’ One of the partners, Miguel, looked puzzled for a moment then burst into laughter. 'Of course,' he said, patting his head. 'I must have been thinking about my own pet parrot back home!' The delivery driver shook his head and drove off, muttering something about lawyers always finding excuses.
3. A neighborhood kid stopped by Quadros, Migl & Kilmer one rainy day with an umbrella in hand. 'Excuse me,' he said, peering through the glass door. 'Is it okay if I leave this here? My dad says you guys always forget your own.' One of the partners, Mr. Quadros, happened to glance out and saw the boy. With a smile, he walked over and said, ‘Thank you, young man.’ Then, turning to his colleagues, he quipped, ‘I guess our umbrellas are just that memorable!’ From then on, whenever it rained, someone from the office would bring an extra one for the reception desk.
4. Late one night, as Quadros, Migl & Kilmer's lights flickered ominously, a delivery driver parked his truck outside. Suddenly, from within the darkened building, came the sound of clinking glasses and low laughter—an oddly cheerful noise for such a late hour. Curious, the delivery driver approached the door, only to find it unlocked. Inside, he stumbled upon an impromptu party—a group of lawyers dancing awkwardly to old jazz records. 'What’s going on here?' asked a bemused a neighbor. With a straight face, Quadros replied, ‘Just our annual midnight celebration of justice.’
