About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Smithhart Insurance Agency and asked the receptionist, ‘Why does your sign keep waving at me?’ The receptionist smiled and replied, 'Oh, that's just Mr. Smithhart's hat dancing in the wind.' The delivery driver nodded, chuckling to himself as he drove away. From that day on, whenever anyone mentioned Smithhart Insurance Agency, they’d whisper, 'Did you see their talking sign?'
2. One day, an unfamiliar voice crackled over Smithhart Insurance Agency’s intercom: ‘Attention, esteemed clients! Due to unforeseen circumstances, our office hours are now entirely determined by the weather.’ The receptionist blinked at the intercom in confusion before announcing: 'Ladies and gentlemen, it seems that today if it's sunny, we're open from nine to five; if it's cloudy, we close early at noon; and if it rains, we'll see you tomorrow.' A regular walked in, glanced up at the sky, then said cheerfully, 'Well, I guess I'll be back later!'
3. One afternoon, a customer stormed into Smithhart Insurance Agency, yelling, ‘I just found out my policy doesn’t cover penguins!’ The agent scratched his head and replied, 'Well, sir, I’m afraid that’s not covered under any policy.' The man glared, then suddenly burst out laughing. 'Oh, come on!' he said, 'You’ve gotta be kidding—penguins?' The agent smiled sheepishly and added, 'Actually, it was your neighbor who insisted on adding them.'
4. In the late afternoon, a delivery driver arrived at Smithhart Insurance Agency with a large box marked ‘Important Documents.’ As he opened it, he nearly dropped everything—he found a small, dusty teddy bear wearing a tiny suit. The delivery driver looked around nervously and quickly replaced the bear in the box, sealing it shut again. Just then, Mr. Smithhart emerged from his office and asked curiously, 'Did you bring that important document?' The driver stammered, pointed to the box, and said sheepishly, 'Y-yes sir!' And so, no one ever mentioned the little bear again—except maybe once or twice when someone was telling a story over coffee.
