A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a little girl walked into The Bank of Henderson and asked the teller for help counting her allowance. She pointed excitedly at something on the counter. ‘What’s that?’ she whispered. The teller looked down and saw nothing unusual—until he noticed everyone else in line doing the same thing. Suddenly, an elderly gentleman behind her cleared his throat and said, 'Young lady, that's just a reflection from the glass door outside.' Everyone relaxed with embarrassed smiles, except for one delivery driver who kept staring intently at the counter. When asked what he was doing, he replied, 'Checking if my package is here early!'
2. A delivery driver pulled up to The Bank of Henderson one afternoon with a peculiar package. As he approached the front door, he noticed an old safe had begun playing soft jazz music on its own. Curious, the driver opened the safe and found only a small envelope containing a note: 'Dear Bank, I’ve been playing here since retirement. Jazz makes time go slower.' Below was an old man’s signature—‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Musician'.
3. A regular customer approached the teller at The Bank of Henderson and said, 'I’d like to open an account for my new pet goldfish.' The teller looked puzzled but smiled and asked, ‘Certainly, sir. What kind of account would you like—checking or savings?’ The man replied, ‘Checking, please. My goldfish eats a lot!’ Everyone in the bank burst out laughing, including the manager who walked over and added, ‘Welcome aboard, fishy financier.’
4. One day, an elderly gentleman entered The Bank of Henderson and calmly announced over the intercom: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that due to technical difficulties, our bank is now operating on Eastern European time.’ Everyone froze for a moment, then started laughing. The old man smiled and said, 'Just wanted to see if you were paying attention!' He then proceeded to the counter where his friendly neighborhood teller greeted him with a smile.
