He cranked the engine—silence. Then he drove off, only to return moments later with a big smile. 'Ah,' he said, 'now I hear it!' A regular customer overheard and shook his head. 'You guys are always hearing noises here.'
2. One foggy night, a neighbor heard an eerie humming coming from Brake Masters workshop. Curious, he peeked inside and saw the mechanics dancing to an unseen radio station, laughing and waving their wrenches in rhythm. Suddenly, one mechanic noticed him and shouted: ‘Hey, join us!’ The neighbor shook his head with a smile, thinking they were just having fun. Later that week, while driving past Brake Masters, he heard the same mysterious music again—this time it was coming from his own car stereo.
3. One afternoon, a young father rushed into Brake Masters with a worried expression on his face. ‘My daughter’s toy car won’t start!’ he exclaimed. The mechanic raised an eyebrow but smiled reassuringly. The mechanic nodded knowingly and asked, 'Is it a remote-controlled car?'
'Yes!' said the father, hopeful.
With a twinkle in his eye, the mechanic replied, 'Then it's not my department—ask Toys R Us.'
They both laughed as the little girl looked up curiously.
4. One day, a regular drove up to Brake Masters in his old truck. The engine sounded like it was singing its last song. The mechanic looked at the engine and shook his head. ‘This thing’s seen better days,’ he said with a smile. A few hours later, the truck roared back to life. The regular laughed, paid his bill, and drove off—leaving behind a note on the windshield: “Brake Masters: fixing more than just brakes!”
