About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as a regular was leaving Tuggle Duggins law firm, he noticed an odd message on the elevator mirror: ‘If you see this reflection, sue yourself.’ Everyone ignored it until one day, a delivery driver started taking legal advice from his own reflection. Soon enough, everyone in the neighborhood was seeking free legal counsel from their reflections. The partner of Tuggle Duggins finally had enough and posted another note: 'Mirror, mirror, stop giving legal advice!' But nobody believed it until they saw the reflection smiling and filing papers.
2. One day, while a regular was signing out of Tuggle Duggins' office building, he heard an unusual announcement over the intercom: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that our legal eagles are now on retainer for pigeon management.’ Curious, the regular asked his colleague inside what it meant. The reply came back with a straight face: 'They hired us to sue the city for not managing their pigeons properly.' A delivery driver passing by chuckled and quipped, 'Next they'll probably bill them for global warming!' And so, Tuggle Duggins became known as the firm that could litigate anything—even birds.
3. Why does everyone always park their car sideways outside Tuggle Duggins’ office? Nobody knows for sure, but some say it’s because the lawyers inside once won a case where they had to. One day, a delivery driver pulled up in front and asked why everyone parked crookedly. A regular replied, ‘They do it so when you come out, you’ll trip over your own feet trying to get back into your car!’ Everyone laughed, except maybe the lawyers who just wanted to avoid any awkward conversations.
4. A little girl walked up to her father one afternoon and asked, ‘Daddy, why do people keep stopping their cars right in front of Tuggle Duggins?’ He replied, smiling, ‘They’re not stopping—they’re just parking their cars like lawyers.’ One day, a regular came in and said, 'I parked my car exactly straight in front of Tuggle's!' Everyone laughed. Then an old delivery driver chimed in, 'That's because you were lucky—most days I park so crookedly that even Tuggle Duggins would say I'm a genius!' The whole place erupted in laughter, and everyone agreed that maybe Tuggle wasn't such a bad guy after all.
