About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as a little girl walked past Fifth Third Bank with her grandmother, she stopped abruptly and pointed up at one of the windows. ‘Granny,’ she whispered, ‘why is that man talking to himself in there?’ The old lady looked puzzled but shrugged it off until they noticed more customers glancing curiously inside. Soon enough, an embarrassed-looking gentleman emerged from the door, sheepishly waving goodbye. As they walked away, granny turned to the girl and said, 'Honey, he was just counting his money.' They both giggled, realizing that some people are simply good at multitasking.
2. One day, an elderly gentleman entered Fifth Third Bank and asked the teller, 'Excuse me, do you have any special offers for customers who bring their own lunch?' The teller smiled and replied, ‘Not that I know of.’ The old man nodded thoughtfully, then said, ‘Well, thank you anyway. By the way, does your bank offer discounts for those who wear their own coffee mugs?’ Everyone in line burst out laughing as the teller shook her head with a smile. That’s when another customer approached and whispered, ‘He comes here every Tuesday asking if there are discounts for bringing your own lunch.’
3. While waiting in line one afternoon, a frustrated customer muttered under his breath, ‘Why does it always take forever to get help here?’ Little did he know, his words might just come true. Just then, an impatient delivery driver behind him exclaimed, ‘I’ve got packages piling up!’ Suddenly, the line moved faster than ever before—so fast that the frustrated customer found himself at the counter without even realizing it. The teller smiled and said, ‘Good afternoon, sir! How may I assist you today?’
4. While standing in line one morning, a delivery driver complained to no one in particular: 'I swear, every time I come here, that ATM gives me the wrong change!' Finally, an old lady behind him chuckled and said, ‘Honey, those ATMs never give anyone the right change—we’re just lucky they give us anything at all!’ The delivery driver smiled sheepishly and agreed, shaking his head with good-natured laughter.
