About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At Driven Speed Shop, a little boy noticed something peculiar one morning. As he walked past the garage door, he pointed and said, ‘Dad, look—cars are talking!’ The mechanic smiled and shook his head. 'Not talking,' he chuckled, patting the hood of a nearby car. 'Just old Benny here trying to tell me where he's got a loose wire.' The little boy giggled, believing every word—and so did everyone else who heard that story.
2. At Driven Speed Shop, late one night, a delivery driver heard an odd humming sound coming from under the hood of his truck. Curious, he popped open the bonnet and found… nothing. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a friendly mechanic appeared and asked, ‘Did you check the battery?’ The driver shook his head, and sure enough, there was a tiny mouse nestled inside, happily chewing on some wires. A regular at the shop remarked, ‘That’s why they say don’t judge a shop by its name—Driven Speed Shop must be driven by mice!’
3. At Driven Speed Shop, a curious neighbor asked one day: ‘Why does that old tire always seem to be watching me?’ The mechanic grinned and replied, 'Oh, that's just Mr. Tire over there—we found him like that when we bought the place.' The neighbor laughed it off, but every time he’d come back for service, he’d surreptitiously glance at the tire, which always seemed to be staring right back.
4. At Driven Speed Shop, early in the morning when most mechanics were just stretching, a delivery driver noticed something strange. The garage door opened on its own, revealing only empty parking spaces and the distant sound of tires screeching. The delivery driver shrugged it off as an old ghost story until he saw the mechanic’s dog trotting out from under the hood of a car, wagging his tail cheerfully. Turns out, the garage door opener was wired to the dog’s favorite toy, and every morning, the canine would press the button while chasing after it. A regular prankster, that pooch.
