About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for her braces adjustment, little Sarah noticed something peculiar in Dr. Crossley’s office. Every time she opened her mouth wide, the receptionist’s pen seemed to jump off her desk and land precisely on Sarah’s tongue. Curious, Sarah whispered to herself, ‘Is it trying to tell me something?’ Just then, the phone rang, and the pen leaped into the air, hovering right above her head before gently landing back on the desk. Smiling, Sarah thought maybe her new orthodontic friend was just a bit protective of her. When asked later that day, Dr. Crossley shrugged and said with a laugh, “Oh, that old pen? It’s been doing that ever since our last delivery driver accidentally knocked over his coffee.”
2. One day during lunch hour, an unfamiliar voice came over Crossley Orthodontics’ intercom: ‘Attention please—your teeth are trying to escape!’ A puzzled receptionist answered, and heard only giggling noises. Moments later, a delivery driver appeared outside, holding a box and grinning sheepishly. 'I thought I heard something,' he said, 'but maybe it was just my imagination.' The story became a weekly joke among staff until one day, a neighbor stopped in for a check-up and whispered, 'Your teeth are finally gone!' Everyone burst out laughing—and realized they’d been waiting for that moment ever since.
3. One foggy morning, as patients shuffled into Crossley Orthodontics, an old man with a cane stumbled through the parking lot. He kept muttering, 'Where am I supposed to park? These teeth are giving me whiplash!' Finally, he found his way inside and approached the receptionist. ‘Excuse me,’ he asked, rubbing his temples, ‘do you know where I parked my time machine?’ The staff laughed heartily, and from that day on, everyone called him ‘Mr. Future.’
4. In the early afternoon, when the reception area of Crossley Orthodontics was almost empty, a small dog darted inside through the open door. It froze, its eyes wide, staring at the rows of dental equipment and smiling faces on the walls. A delivery driver happened to glance up just then, saw the little dog, and started laughing. ‘Hey,’ he called out, ‘you’re not supposed to be here!’ The dog wagged its tail nervously but didn’t move. Finally, an elderly gentleman in a suit approached and said gently, ‘Don’t worry, sonny, I’ll take care of you.’ He picked up the dog and carried him back outside, where his owner was frantically searching.
