About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as customers lined up for coffee and doughnuts, an unfamiliar voice crackled over the intercom: ‘Attention everyone—your lucky numbers for today are 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42.’ The tellers exchanged puzzled glances, but no one dared interrupt until the voice added, ‘And remember, don’t forget to check your winning lottery ticket!’ A few minutes later, a delivery driver walked in, scratched his head and asked, 'Hey, does anyone here have a lottery ticket?' A regular replied, 'I don't know, but let's ask that nice lady behind the counter!' They all laughed, and the day ended with everyone feeling lucky—and maybe just a little bit more friendly.
2. One day, while a regular was counting change in line, someone whispered from behind: ‘Did you hear? The teller’s drawer just talked back!’ The regular turned around, expecting to see someone playing a prank. Instead, he found only an empty drawer and a puzzled-looking delivery driver who’d been waiting next to it. Shaking his head, he muttered, 'Guess that drawer’s on lunch break today.'
3. One afternoon, while a little girl waited with her mom inside the bank's lobby, she giggled when a paper airplane suddenly soared past them, leaving everyone else puzzled. Soon enough, another customer leaned over and asked if anyone had thrown a plane. A delivery driver shrugged, pretending it wasn’t him, but everyone smiled anyway. The little girl laughed again, and her mother whispered, ‘Maybe it was just the wind.’ But nobody believed her.
4. While waiting for their turn at the teller window, two neighbors were chatting amiably when one suddenly exclaimed, 'Did you hear that?' ‘No,’ replied his neighbor, glancing curiously. ‘What?’
‘They say if you write “I owe I.O.U.” in reverse on a dollar bill and leave it here, the bank will give you free money!’
They both burst out laughing, realizing it was just another urban legend they’d heard too many times before.
