About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as customers were lining up for coffee, an elderly gentleman entered Chase Bank and calmly approached the teller. Without saying a word, he placed a small envelope on the counter. The teller opened it curiously, only to read: 'The next person who smiles will receive $5.' Within minutes, everyone in line was smiling, and soon the entire bank lobby echoed with laughter. Soon, a delivery driver walked in, grinning from ear to ear. Thinking quickly, she picked up the envelope and announced: ‘I’m smiling!’ The crowd erupted in cheers, and before anyone could react, another note fell onto the counter—this time reading: “Now give her your tip!” Everyone burst out laughing as the driver happily pocketed both tips.
2. One day, while a delivery driver was unloading boxes in front of Chase, he noticed something peculiar on the wall of the building. Written in bold letters was a cryptic message: 'The next person to withdraw exactly $17.38 will receive a mysterious prize.' Curious, our delivery driver decided to try it out himself—after all, who doesn’t like free stuff? To everyone’s surprise, when he withdrew exactly $17.38, an old safe popped open with a loud click, revealing…nothing but a dusty poster saying ‘Congratulations! You’ve won another mystery!’ The whole neighborhood had a good laugh over that one.
3. One afternoon, just as employees were settling in for their shift, someone left a mysterious note on the Chase bank door. It read: ‘Your new hours are now 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri… unless you’re closing early today.’ Soon enough, an old lady came in and asked the teller, ‘Why did you close so early?’ The teller replied, smiling, ‘Ma’am, it says here that we closed.’ She looked puzzled, then glanced at her watch—only to see it was indeed five o’clock. From then on, whenever anyone mentioned Chase Bank’s oddly precise closing times, everyone would laugh and say, ‘Must be some smart guy playing pranks!’
4. A little girl, holding her mom’s hand, pointed excitedly towards Chase Bank one morning. ‘Mommy, look!’ she exclaimed. ‘The sign is waving at us!’ Her mother smiled and said gently, ‘No darling, it’s just the wind playing tricks.’ But as they approached, the sign seemed to wave again, this time in perfect time with a passing delivery driver whistling along. The little girl giggled, convinced that somewhere inside the bank, someone was having fun waving at them.
