About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, an A&H Auto mechanic found a mysterious toolbox under the service bay. Inside were old tools, dusty manuals, and a note scribbled in pencil: ‘For the next honest person who needs them.’ The mechanic shrugged and decided to keep the toolbox as a lucky charm. Soon after, an old delivery driver brought his truck for repairs. The mechanic fixed it with ease using some obscure tool from the mystery box, and the grateful driver left a big tip. Word spread, and before long, every customer seemed to leave something—a bottle of water, a bag of cookies, or even a handwritten thank-you note. A&H Auto became known not just for fixing cars but for its friendly atmosphere and kindness shared between strangers.
2. One day, as a delivery driver pulled up to A & H Auto, he heard someone shout from inside: ‘Hey, wait a minute! Your truck’s talking!’ The delivery driver looked around nervously, but his truck was silent. Then, out of nowhere, an old mechanic appeared and chuckled, 'Just our way of saying thanks for always bringing us those delicious donuts!'
3. One afternoon, while customers were waiting for their cars to be serviced, A & H Auto’s PA system crackled to life with an unexpected announcement: ‘Attention please—your lucky number for today is seven! If your license plate ends in seven, come see Mr. H.’ People looked at each other curiously, but no one complained until a man with a plate ending in 777 showed up and asked if anyone had claimed his prize. Mr. H smiled mysteriously and led him backstage, where a small table was set with freshly baked cookies and a bottle of cold soda. 'Congratulations!' he said. 'You’re our seventh customer today—and now you get to choose any cookie you like.' The man grinned sheepishly, realizing it wasn’t much of a prize after all.
4. At A & H Auto, one evening after closing, a curious dog wandered into the workshop. It sniffed around the tools and then suddenly began barking at an old poster on the wall. The dog kept barking until an old mechanic appeared, rubbing his eyes. ‘What’s got into Spot?’ he asked, scratching behind the dog’s ear. The poster turned out to be an advertisement for a local breeder, and Spot was just trying to bring home his new friend.’
