About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One foggy morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Tom Thumb Pharmacy and noticed an odd sign taped to the door: ‘Please leave your pet inside if you come for medicine.’ Curious, he parked his truck and went in—only to hear the store’s PA crackle to life with a mysterious announcement: “Attention all customers… please be advised that our latest shipment of cough syrup has been known to cause temporary hallucinations.” As the delivery driver approached the counter, a regular customer waved him over. Smiling mysteriously, she whispered, 'Just take two sips from any bottle before leaving.' The driver shook his head and left, never realizing that his own car had started honking like a donkey due to the hallucinogenic syrup.
2. One day, while picking up prescriptions, an elderly lady entered Tom Thumb Pharmacy with her granddaughter in tow. As they approached the counter, the little girl pointed excitedly towards a shelf, whispering, ‘Grandma, why does that bottle look like it’s dancing?’ The pharmacist smiled and replied, 'That's not dancing, sweetie—it's just our special liquid aspirin!' The grandmother laughed softly, shaking her head as she said, 'I should've known better than to bring you here.'
3. One afternoon, a little girl walked into Tom Thumb Pharmacy with her mother. As they approached the counter, she pointed excitedly at a shelf full of colorful bottles. ‘Mommy,’ she whispered, ‘why do these pills look like candy?’ The pharmacist smiled and leaned down to whisper back, ‘Because sweetie, some people mistake medicine for candy.’ The girl giggled, while her mom blushed and shook her head. From then on, whenever anyone asked about that day, the family would just say, ‘Oh, you know—nothing out of the ordinary happened at Tom Thumb Pharmacy.’
4. One evening, as a regular was leaving Tom Thumb Pharmacy, he overheard two neighbors discussing their new pet rabbit. ‘Did you know,’ asked one neighbor, pointing at the pharmacist’s window, ‘that rabbits can see better than humans?’ The pharmacist, clearly an animal lover, leaned out and corrected them with a smile: 'Actually, they only have a limited color vision!' The neighbors laughed it off, while our regular pretended not to notice his own prescription for allergy medicine.
