About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the store was closing, an old lady would often come in and ask for Band-Aids. She’d pick one up, look at it closely, then suddenly burst out laughing. No one knew why until one day, a curious child followed her out and saw that she was smiling at the reflection of the moon on the glass door. One evening, while restocking shelves, a young delivery driver overheard an elderly gentleman asking for aspirin. After helping him, he noticed something peculiar—every time he turned around, the man seemed to be humming the same tune. Curious, the driver asked what song it was. The old fellow smiled and whispered, ‘It’s just the rhythm of my heartbeats!’
2. In the early morning hours, before anyone else arrived, a small dog would appear outside the Walgreens. Every day without fail, it would dash towards the pharmacy door and bark insistently until someone opened up. The employees never knew where it came from or why it only visited them. One morning, an elderly neighbor walked in, scratching his head. ‘I’ve been feeding that little fellow,’ he said sheepishly. ‘He’s my secret admirer!’ Everyone laughed, realizing the dog had simply been delivering daily kisses on four paws.
3. Late one night, as the pharmacist was locking up, he heard footsteps approaching from behind the counter. Peering around, he saw only empty shelves and closed doors. Suddenly, a voice whispered, ‘Excuse me, can you help me find aspirin?’ Turning sharply, the pharmacist found himself facing… an empty bottle on the shelf. With a laugh, he realized it had been his own reflection in the mirror above the counter. From then on, he kept a small stash of candy next to the register for late-night visitors.
4. Late one night, as the pharmacist was locking up, he heard someone whispering, ‘Fill my prescription… for eternal youth.’ Curious, the pharmacist filled a bottle with placebos and handed it over. The next morning, an excited voice called from outside: 'Hey, Doc! It works—I'm now immortal AND allergic to everything!'
