About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as customers were settling in for their daily coffee, an elderly gentleman approached the counter with a large envelope. ‘I have something here,’ he announced into the microphone, ‘that could change Wells Fargo forever.’ The teller took the envelope curiously and opened it carefully. Inside was just a note that read: 'Dear Wells Fargo, please accept my deposit of one million dollars...in pennies!' The whole place burst out laughing, including the old man who said, 'Just kidding, kids!' Everyone had a good laugh over a simple prank.
2. At dawn, when most banks are still locking their doors, a delivery driver arrived with an unusual package. The security guard eyed him suspiciously, but the driver insisted it was just another safe deposit box. As he opened the box, out popped a live chicken that started clucking and wandering around the lobby. Everyone burst into laughter, including the poor delivery driver who explained it was ‘just a new security measure’ for extra safety. Since then, customers joke that Wells Fargo’s safes now come with feathers.’
3. In the early hours of one foggy morning, a Wells Fargo teller noticed something peculiar. A small dog kept circling the lobby entrance, sniffing and barking at the same spot every few minutes. Curious, she followed its trail and found an old key hidden beneath the mat. The dog, it turned out, belonged to a regular customer who often forgot his keys. With a smile, the teller unlocked the door for both canine and owner, earning herself a hearty thanks and a warm cup of coffee from the grateful neighbor.
4. At lunchtime, when the bank’s corridors buzz with activity, a young woman entered the restroom and found herself locked inside. As she frantically knocked on the door, a voice from behind said, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll get you out… eventually.’ Eventually, an old man walked in, looked at her quizzically, then calmly unlocked the door. With a smile, he said, 'I was just waiting for my turn.'
