About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In an ordinary Safeway pharmacy, a little boy entered one day and pointed excitedly at the shelves. His mother looked up, curious, only to see him staring at something she couldn’t quite make out herself. As they both squinted, trying to focus on what seemed like a tiny toy, a delivery driver passing by stopped and laughed, saying, ‘Oh, that’s just my kid’s new remote control car!’ Turns out it had rolled off his bike outside and was now hiding in plain sight among the medicine bottles. Everyone had a good laugh, including the embarrassed mom who promised never to judge another parent again so quickly.
2. At dawn, a delivery driver arrived at Safeway with a mysterious package wrapped in brown paper. As he approached the counter, the pharmacist asked curiously, 'Anything unusual today?' With a sly smile, the driver replied, ‘Just some special order for an old neighbor.’ The pharmacist raised an eyebrow but shrugged it off, knowing better than to ask further questions. Later that day, everyone in town was talking about how Safeway had delivered a prescription…to a squirrel!’
3. At midnight, when Safeway's doors were usually locked tight, a soft humming could be heard from inside the pharmacy. Curious neighbors would gather outside, trying to catch a glimpse of whatever was causing the strange noise. Eventually, it turned out that an overzealous delivery driver had left his radio on full blast while stocking the shelves late at night. The humming continued until dawn, much to everyone’s amusement.
4. Late one night, as Safeway’s neon sign flickered outside, a voice crackled over the intercom: ‘Attention all customers—your groceries are now self-aware!’ A few minutes later, an old lady's voice came on again: 'And don’t forget your prescriptions!' Everyone laughed, and soon enough, everything went back to normal. The next morning, a delivery driver found a note stuck to his truck: “Dear Safeway, please teach your groceries how to cook—it’d save us all a lot of time!”
