About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a little girl was walking her dog near Derrick Law Firm’s office building when she noticed something strange. Her usually hyperactive pug stopped in its tracks and started sniffing intently at an old man’s briefcase. The old man's briefcase turned out to be full of freshly baked cookies! He was a friendly retiree delivering treats to his neighbors. The little girl and her dog happily accepted one, and from then on, Derrick Law Firm had a new neighborhood friend.
2. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to Derrick Law Firm's offices and noticed an eerie humming sound coming from inside. As he approached the building, the noise grew louder—and more like laughter—until it seemed as if someone were giggling in the dark. Curious, the driver peered through the window and saw a shadowy figure darting around—a janitor mopping the floor while humming cheerfully. ‘What’s so funny?’ asked the startled driver. The janitor turned with a big smile, holding a broom that looked suspiciously like a microphone. “Just Derrick’s latest victory song!” he replied, then promptly burst into another round of laughter.
3. Early in the morning, before anyone else stirred, a neighbor noticed something peculiar outside Derrick Law Firm’s windows. A small bird kept flying into the glass, over and over again, as if trying to reach an invisible courtroom inside. Finally, exhausted from its futile efforts, the little bird gave up and perched on the sill, staring wistfully at the office lights. The neighbor smiled, picked it up gently, and set it free outside. Later that day, when a delivery driver arrived with new coffee mugs for the firm, he saw the same bird happily pecking away at some seeds nearby—oblivious to any courtrooms or lawyers.
4. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to Derrick Law Firm's offices. As he stepped out of his truck, he heard a soft humming coming from inside. Curious, he peered through the window and saw an old lamp glowing softly on the receptionist’s desk. ‘Must be some new office decoration,’ he thought, but as he approached closer, he heard a familiar voice whispering: “Rub me three times for good luck…” Turns out it was just their friendly janitor, Derrick, polishing the lamp while humming an old tune.
