It’s just our new talking oil can.’ The old mechanic picked up the can and pretended to talk in a gruff voice: 'Your engine's running rough today!' Everyone laughed, even the little boy who insisted it was real magic. From then on, whenever someone needed encouragement or a smile, they’d come to Pep Boys—after all, how could you resist a place with a talking oil can?

2. A curious pug dog followed its owner into Pep Boys one afternoon. As he waited for repairs, the tiny canine sniffed around the workshop, stopping abruptly when it caught sight of an old toolbox filled with mismatched nuts and bolts. Suddenly, the pug’s nose twitched as if it had found something fascinating. It dived inside the toolbox, emerged moments later carrying a rusty bolt in its mouth. The mechanic, noticing the commotion, smiled and said, ‘Looks like our little friend here is helping out!’ And so, that day, Pep Boys welcomed their newest—and smallest—mechanic assistant.

3. One night, as an exhausted delivery driver pulled up to Pep Boys for repairs, he noticed a mysterious sign above the workshop door: ‘If your engine is whispering secrets, we can hear them.’ Curious, the driver asked what it meant. The mechanic winked and replied, 'Trust us, pal—we’ll know when it's time to tell you.' Months later, the same driver returned with his friend, who joked, 'So, did Pep Boys ever listen in on my engine?' The mechanic grinned, ‘Only if it was singing us a lullaby.’

4. One foggy morning, a sleepy mechanic opened the door of Pep Boys only to see a small figure waving frantically from inside. ‘Who left their cat here?’ asked a puzzled customer. ‘What am I supposed to do with it?’ the mechanic muttered, but then noticed a note pinned to the collar: “Please take good care of my little Fluffy while I’m at work.” The customer laughed and said, “Next time your cat needs a tune-up, bring her in yourself!”
