About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. In an ordinary aisle of Fry’s Food and Drug, a regular noticed something peculiar one afternoon. As he pushed his shopping cart down the cereal section, his little granddaughter pointed excitedly towards the shelves. ‘Gramps,’ she whispered, ‘look at those boxes—why do they seem to be dancing?’ The grandfather squinted, then laughed. He bent down and picked up two boxes. Sure enough, when held close together, the logos on the front seemed to wiggle like tiny dancers in a parade. The grandmother smiled, shaking her head with amusement. 'Oh, Fry's,' she said fondly, 'always finding new ways to entertain us.'
2. In the dairy section of Fry’s Food and Drug, a delivery driver stopped mid-unload. Something strange caught his eye—a faint humming sound, like bees but not quite. Curious, he followed it down the aisle until it led him to a stack of milk cartons, which seemed to be glowing softly in the dim light. As he peered closer, he noticed that each carton had tiny little eyes staring back at him. Startled, he quickly covered them with his hand—and sure enough, they stopped glowing. Turns out, they were just regular old cartons playing tricks on an overactive imagination. Back home, he told his wife, who laughed so hard she spilled her own milk. A delivery driver’s life is never dull.
3. At dawn, when most supermarkets are still quiet, a delivery driver pulled up to Fry’s Food and Drug. As he began unloading crates, he noticed something odd: every fifth box seemed to contain a tiny, perfectly formed snowman, complete with carrot nose and coal eyes. Confused, the driver checked his manifest—nothing about toy snowmen. Just as he was about to shrug it off, one of the little guys rolled down an aisle and bumped into a carton of eggs. With a startled yelp, everyone in the store turned around. The manager, a gruff but friendly man, grinned and said, ‘Looks like Santa’s been testing our stock again.’
4. At dusk, as a delivery driver unloaded boxes in the produce section, he heard someone whisper, ‘Hey, you dropped something.’ The driver bent down to pick up an apple that rolled away. Behind him, a voice said softly, 'That’s not an apple.' Turning around, he saw nobody but noticed a bag of bananas waving their yellow fingers. Shaking his head with a smile, he thought, ‘Must be those old banana jokes playing tricks on me again.’
