A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Quality Brake & Tire and asked the mechanic, ‘Hey, do you ever see those ghostly figures in the parking lot?’ The mechanic shrugged and replied, ‘Nah, just old cars and tires.’ A few days later, another delivery driver joked, 'Did you know those figures are actually just our old customers from the ’80s?' The mechanic laughed and said, ‘No wonder they never leave!’
2. One day, while waiting for tires, a little boy walked into Quality Brake & Tire with his mom. Suddenly, he pointed excitedly at something on the ceiling and whispered, ‘Mom, look! It’s dancing!’ His mother smiled and said, 'Oh honey, that’s just Mr. Jenkins from next door fixing our ceiling fan.' The little boy shrugged and went back to playing with some tools on the counter, completely unphased. From then on, whenever anyone mentioned Quality Brake & Tire, someone would inevitably ask if they still had that magical dancing fan.
3. In the early afternoon, a delivery driver pulled up to Quality Brake & Tire with a large box of misplaced items from other garages. Among them was an old, dusty harmonica that caught the eye of a nearby mechanic. The mechanic blew into it, and much to everyone’s surprise, it played a perfect tune of ‘Happy Birthday’—complete with harmonies! Word spread quickly around town, and soon enough, every time someone needed their brakes checked or tires changed, they’d hum along to the harmonica’s melody. It became Quality Brake & Tire’s unofficial mascot, reminding customers that even in the mundane world of car repairs, there can be music to lift spirits.
4. In the early afternoon, a delivery driver pulled up to Quality Brake & Tire with a mysterious package. As he approached the counter, he noticed an old man polishing tires in the corner. ‘Hey,’ said the driver, ‘do you know what’s inside?’ The old man looked up, smiled, and replied, ‘Not really, but I’ve been here long enough to know it won’t be anything ordinary.’ The delivery driver shrugged and opened the box curiously. Inside was a small, shiny doorknob. 'What the...' he muttered. The old man chuckled, wiped his hands on his apron, and said, 'Oh, that? It's for our new time machine. Been working on it for years.' The driver shook his head and walked away, muttering something about strange mechanics.
