About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Car-X Auto Service and asked the mechanic, ‘Do you ever wonder why your customers always seem happier after dropping their cars off here?’ The mechanic shrugged. ‘Maybe they just like our coffee,’ he replied with a smile. The delivery driver shook his head knowingly. ‘Nah, it’s something else. They come out of here with a new lease on life—like they finally found their long-lost car.’ A few minutes later, a neighbor walked in, whistling cheerfully. The mechanic raised an eyebrow. ‘See what I mean?’
2. A little boy followed his dad into Car-X Auto Service one Saturday afternoon. As he watched, an old man emerged from under the hood of a car, holding something shiny in his hand. The boy’s eyes widened when the mechanic winked at him and whispered, ‘Just checking for spark plugs, son.’ The boy leaned closer, curious, as the mechanic popped open a small box and showed him a glowing blue light. 'See that, son?' the old man grinned. 'That’s our secret weapon—an LED flashlight!' The father laughed, shaking his head, while the little boy giggled, thinking maybe Car-X was more magical than he’d ever known.
3. While waiting for his car to be fixed, a regular at Car-X Auto Service overheard an unusual conversation between two mechanics:
‘Did you hear?’ said one mechanic.
‘What?’
‘That new customer who just drove in? He’s got more bolts on his license plate than most cars!’ The other mechanic laughed and shook his head. ‘I bet he drives like he has them too,’ he replied. A few minutes later, their new customer walked in—an older gentleman with a big smile and a backpack full of tools. Everyone burst out laughing when they saw his license plate: ONE-NUT.’
4. While waiting for his car to be fixed, a regular at Car-X Auto Service noticed an old toolbox left behind on the service bay floor. Curious, he picked it up—and found an ancient map inside, with mysterious markings that seemed to point towards hidden treasure. The regular showed the map to a delivery driver who happened to know some history. Turned out the marks were just an old repair checklist from the 80s. The ‘treasure’? A forgotten bag of donuts in the manager’s office.
