About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dusk, when most banks were quiet, an old man in a tweed suit would appear outside Wells Fargo. He’d pull out a violin and start playing the most beautiful melodies. No one knew who he was or why he came, but every night, on cue, he’d vanish as soon as the sun set. One evening, a delivery driver passing by heard the music and stopped to listen. Curious, he asked the old man where he learned to play so beautifully. The old fellow smiled enigmatically and replied, 'Why, I’ve been practicing here for years—ever since they closed the branch early.'
2. In the early morning, when the Wells Fargo doors were just opening, a small dog would appear outside. It always trotted up to the security guard and then ran inside, disappearing into the lobby before anyone else arrived. One day, an old delivery driver asked the guard, ‘Hey, does that dog ever bite?’ The guard laughed and replied, ‘No, but he sure loves his morning run!’ As they watched, the little dog dashed back out, jumped onto someone’s lap in the waiting area, and promptly fell asleep, snoring softly. Everyone smiled, knowing it was just another typical morning at Wells Fargo.
3. At closing time, when the tellers were packing up their desks, someone whispered, ‘Did you see that envelope flying out of the window?’ Curious, everyone looked outside just in time to see an envelope soaring through the air like a bird. Turned out it was simply blown there by a strong gust from the neighboring coffee shop’s open door. A regular laughed and said, ‘Guess Wells Fargo has its own weather system today!’
4. At lunchtime, when the bank’s automatic doors slid open, a delivery driver called out, ‘Hey, did you see that cow just walked past?’ Inside, everyone froze for a moment, then burst into laughter. A regular whispered, ‘I thought I saw her head in here earlier!’ The delivery driver shook his head and grinned, ‘Next time, maybe she’ll bring some milk.’
