About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At In The Kut Barbership, customers began noticing something peculiar one morning. Over the loud speaker came an odd announcement: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, your stylist today is none other than our very own talking mirror!’ A regular customer, a gruff old man with a beard, leaned closer to the mirror and asked, 'Mirror, can you cut my hair or are you just here for pretty faces?' To everyone's surprise, the mirror replied, 'I can do both, sir!' And so, the barbershop became famous for its unique service—talking mirrors for everyone who walked in.
2. A regular was admiring his new haircut in the mirror when he noticed something odd—his reflection seemed to be wearing a different hat than what he had on. Curious, he reached up and felt his head—nothing there but bare skin. Turning around, he saw another customer, a delivery driver, laughing as he held up two identical hats, each one slightly different from the other. ‘Which one do you want?’ asked the barber with a smile.
3. One day, while waiting for his trim, a regular found an old envelope taped to the wall of In The Kut Barbership. Curious, he peeled it off and discovered a vintage postcard inside, addressed to someone long gone. Turns out, the postcard was from a local delivery driver who’d worked there decades ago, apologizing for accidentally delivering a wrong package to our curious customer’s grandmother. Everyone had a good laugh when they pieced together the story.
4. While waiting for his monthly trim, a regular couldn't help but notice that every time he sat down, the barbershop's vintage poster of old-timey beards seemed to shift ever so slightly. Finally curious, our regular asked one of the barbers why the posters moved each month. With a twinkle in his eye, the barber replied, ‘We rotate them to keep things fresh!’ Turned out, it was just an elaborate prank to make customers feel special.
