About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for his coffee, a regular noticed something odd: every time the State Farm agent adjusted his glasses, his reflection in the window seemed to wink back. His young daughter, watching from behind him, giggled and whispered, ‘Daddy, is that man winking at us?’ The father smiled and turned around, only to see the agent calmly adjusting his glasses again. The next day, the whole family visited State Farm together—just to be sure they had the best insurance policy. And ever since then, whenever anyone asked why their insurance premiums were so low, they’d just wink knowingly and say, ‘Ask our State Farm agent—we’ve got his number!’
2. One day, a delivery driver pulled up outside State Farm and noticed an unusual sight: the same old man always sat in the same chair, facing away from the door. Curious, the driver knocked on the door. The old man slowly turned around, still without saying a word. He pointed towards his chair, indicating for the driver to sit down. After a few minutes of awkward silence, the old man finally spoke: ‘Insurance rates are going up again,’ he said with a smile. The driver laughed and replied, ‘At least I know where to come when it happens!’
3. Have you ever seen anything like it? A regular asked one day, pointing towards State Farm’s office building. ‘Why does that mailbox keep turning around?’ A delivery driver shrugged, adjusting his hat. ‘It’s not a mailbox,’ he said with a smile. ‘It’s just an old weather vane.’ The regular looked puzzled for a moment before bursting into laughter. ‘Of course!’ he exclaimed. ‘Now I feel like an idiot.’ His neighbor overheard and shook her head, smiling warmly. ‘Welcome to our town,’ she whispered.}
4. One morning, as employees were settling in, someone heard an announcement over the intercom: ‘Attention, everyone—your lucky number for today is seven!’ From then on, whenever anyone mentioned the number seven, strange things started happening around the office. Soon enough, people began betting on whether mentioning the number would bring them coffee from a certain delivery guy or get their neighbor to stop by with cookies. The fun lasted until one day when someone joked, 'Hey, our lucky number’s zero!' And sure enough, the power went out, leaving everyone counting down the minutes till lunchtime.
