A few stories people tell about this place
1. At Love’s gas station, every morning around sunrise, a delivery driver noticed something peculiar. A small dog would appear out of nowhere, sniffing curiously at the pumps before dashing off into the nearby woods. No one knew where it came from or why it visited only during dawn. One day, the delivery driver brought along his little terrier. The two dogs met and started playing in the parking lot. Soon, the whole town was talking—were they brothers? Turned out just another friendly neighborhood encounter, much to everyone’s amusement.
2. At Love’s gas station, late one night, a delivery driver heard an odd noise coming from behind the pumps. Curious, he peered around and saw… nothing. But the sound kept repeating itself. Finally, another employee suggested checking the ventilation system. They opened a grate, and out popped a startled pigeon, its wings flapping furiously. The delivery driver looked at each other, shook their heads, and went back inside with a newfound respect for urban wildlife. "Love's" became known locally as the place where birds got love too.
3. At Love’s gas station, one day after school, a little girl pointed excitedly and whispered, ‘Daddy, look! The sign keeps changing colors!’ Her father smiled and said gently, ‘Honey, it’s just a special LED display.’ She nodded thoughtfully then giggled, pointing again as another color shifted. ‘But Daddy, why does it say “LOVE” sometimes?’ He laughed and ruffled her hair, replying, ‘Because, sweetheart, that’s what love’s all about—changing colors like our feelings!’
4. At Love’s gas station, one night while filling up, a customer asked curiously: ‘Why does that old sign keep winking at me?’ The attendant, smiling slyly, replied, 'Ah, that's just Ol' Bill, our friendly ghost. He likes to wave at everyone.' The customer laughed and said, 'Well, I guess I'll take my chances!' And so, with a wink from Ol' Bill, they both drove off into the night.
