About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was just another morning at Circle K—traffic hummed outside, and a delivery driver was unloading cases of soda when suddenly, from inside the store, came a strange whistling sound. Everyone looked up, but no one seemed to notice anything unusual except for an older gentleman standing near the cash register. He smiled knowingly and whispered, ‘Must be that new shipment of caffeinated gum.’ Then, out of nowhere, a little old lady walked in, squinted at the gum display, and asked, 'Is that supposed to make noise?' Before anyone could answer, she reached for a piece and popped it into her mouth with a satisfied smile. The whole store burst into laughter as the gum began a synchronized dance across her face, leaving everyone convinced it was indeed some sort of exotic imported item. The end.
2. ‘Hey, clerk,’ said a delivery driver one afternoon, ‘you ever notice how everyone here buys exactly what they came for?’ He paused, then added with a smirk, ‘And no one ever leaves early.’ The clerk shrugged and grinned, "Maybe they're all secretly time travelers, picking up just enough gas to get back to their own era!" The delivery driver laughed heartily, shaking his head. "Nah, more likely they're all stuck in some kind of Circle K loop—like Groundhog Day—but without the cute wife." They both chuckled, knowing that whatever the reason, Circle K would always be there, filling tanks and maybe even lives.
3. One night, as a delivery driver unloaded crates, he muttered under his breath, 'I wonder if anyone else has noticed that every time I come here, my headlights always turn on by themselves?' Finally, one evening a curious neighbor walked in and asked what was going on. The delivery driver joked, ‘Maybe they’re just trying to help me see better!’ From then on, whenever someone mentioned Circle K, everyone smiled and said, “Oh, you mean the gas station with the self-illuminating headlights?”
4. It was an ordinary day at Circle K when the store’s PA system suddenly crackled to life. ‘Attention, customers,’ it announced in a deep, robotic voice. ‘We’ve detected an unusual amount of… optimism today.’ A nearby customer, overhearing the announcement, turned around and asked, ‘Excuse me, did you say “an unusual amount of optimism”?’ The robotic voice replied, ‘Affirmative.’ A delivery driver chimed in, ‘Must be all those energy drinks they sell here!’ Everyone laughed, realizing that maybe optimism really is contagious—even if it comes from a gas station PA system.
